Unmanaged Ethernet bus switch ECU-08L.1Fa3L

It is a small Ethernet bus unit with 8 ports with extended features 1x PoE IEEE 802.3af output - type A (four-wire camera connection) and 3 ports with +24V power supply - type B. The af output is primarily designed to power a front-facing security camera with +48V power supply. The other ethernet power outputs - 3x - are type B and provide +24V power on separate unused wires, e.g. suitable for VLP 08Yx35 heading indicators.

This switch has mechanical dimensions identical to the standard ECU 08L type. It can also be supplied in a vertical mounting version - ECU-08L.1Fa3L-V, the standard version is ECU-08L.1Fa3L-H.

This unit is available in two versions, namely:

• ECU-08L.1Fa3L-V - Ethernet switch 8 port-light version with one PoE according to IEEE 802.3 af (type A) for vertical mounting.
• ECU-08L.1Fa3L-H  - Ethernet switch 8 port-light version with one PoE according to IEEE 802.3 af (type A) for horizontal mounting.

Example of ECU-08L.1Fa3L switch wiring in an IDS JMK vehicle using a front security camera and heading indicators. As a special feature, the connection of the EPNEV 3.18 or EPNEV 3.28 (selective version) command receiver is demonstrated. The other 4 already quite standard Ethernet ports are intended for connection of the EPIS 5.0A control unit, passenger LCD panel, e.g. wide-screen VCS 290 or standard VCS 185. And there are still two more ports available for future expansion - e.g. ETM 4.0.
