Single-sided LCD panel -19"

The VCS 190A series of single-sided on-board passenger display units based on industrial LCD displays are designed primarily for front mounting in public passenger transport vehicles as an internal passenger information system.

Standard LCD type displays with different aspect ratios are used as display units. These are:

• Type S - aspect ratio 5:4 and resolution 1280 × 1024 pixels (Type S - standard),
• type W - 16:10 aspect ratio with a resolution of 1440 × 900 pixels (type W - widescreen),
• type WF - 16:10 aspect ratio with a resolution of 1680 × 1050 pixels (type WF - widescreen - higher resolution).

LCD panels can be controlled by all types of buses used, i.e. Ethernet, RS 485 or IBIS. For the sake of speed and simplicity of control we recommend using Ethernet bus. This solution is also suitable for remote updating of images and advertisements, with the proviso that the parent unit (EPIS 4.0x on-board computer with EPG 4.0 GSM modem, EPIS 5 FC on-board computer with check-in or MSP 5.0 position tracking unit) must be able to control the LCD display of the VCS 190xx via this bus directly or it can also be controlled remotely via GSM/GPRS/UMTS modem.

When controlled using the slow IBIS communication bus (1200 bit/s), the internal LCD display essentially replaces the internal LED panel, e.g. VLP 20×120, and does not allow further system development. For the case of connection using slower bus types (IBIS or RS 485), the contents of the LCD panel can very easily be replayed manually by the operator using a USB flash drive, where the VCS 190 display unit itself performs an automatic update in a few seconds.
